The volleyball team from Sokal’s Municipal Sports School “Sokolyany” delivered an outstanding performance at the international Youth Cup 2025 tournament in Latvia, held under the auspices of the Eastern European Volleyball Zonal Association (EEVZA).
Talented athletes — Oleksandr Bondarenko, Maksym Vakula, Nikita Tkachenko, Serhii Zapisotskyi, Vladyslav Teniukh, Maksym Nazar, Pavlo Rudavskyi, and Mykhailo Kozhan — showed exceptional skill, unity, and true team spirit. They confidently won all five matches with a clean 2:0 score, which earned them a well-deserved first place in the competition.
This victory is a matter of pride not only for the town of Sokal but for the whole of Ukraine. Heartfelt gratitude goes to their coach Stepan Kulyk, the director of the sports school Roman Pletinka, and the athletes’ parents for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support. Their efforts were instrumental in achieving this excellent result.
