17-year-old Maksym Zinchuk from Lviv region became the holder of the European Judo Cup among cadets.
The competition took place in the capital of Latvia, Riga, where young athletes from all over Europe competed for the awards at the Riga “Millennium Team” Cadet European Cup 2025. Maksym fought six brilliant bouts in a row and confidently climbed to the top of the podium. He is coached by Vladyslav Drebot.
The Ukrainian team won 7 medals and took second place in the overall team ranking. “Congratulations to the athlete on an excellent result and we wish for more victories!” – noted the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
