Lviv Region Team Won the Ukrainian Championship

The Lviv region team won the Ukrainian athletics championship.

The competition, which took place from February 6-8, brought together 540 athletes from 22 regions and Kyiv. The strongest were determined among boys and girls born in 2009–2010. “The Ukrainian Championship took place at the athletic arena of the Training and Sports Base for Summer Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This is one of the athletic infrastructure facilities that we have reconstructed over the past few years, and now it is one of the best locations for this sport in Ukraine. Among other facilities are the ‘SKIF’ stadium, stadiums in Busk, Sambir, and Stryi. Accessible and high-quality infrastructure for training is a guarantee of successful results for athletes. Therefore, the first team place of the Lviv region team today is considered a natural result,” said the director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Roman Khymiak.
