
The fourth annual Taras Matviiv Journalism Award competition has been announced in the Lviv region.
During a briefing, Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council, Yuriy Kholod, announced that the prize fund for this year’s competition is 500,000 hryvnias. The Grand Prix winner will receive 100,000 hryvnias, and there will be 12 winners in the categories. Categories include text materials, video materials, and radio materials.
Participants whose materials win first places will receive 50,000 hryvnias each. Everyone can vote for the best materials, including through online voting. Yuriy Kholod noted: “This competition aims to encourage and support all journalists who write about the defenders and defenders from the Lviv region.”
The competition is held at the initiative of Taras Matviiv’s parents since 2022. Media materials must be published from June 6, 2024, to June 5, 2025. Applications can be submitted until July 5.
