The European Executive Agency for Climate Change, Infrastructure and the Environment – CINEA has announced calls for projects under the LIFE 2023 Environment and Climate Action Program.
This program is the only program of the European Union, the funds of which are directed exclusively to solving issues of nature conservation and climate action. It is designed for 2021-2027 with a total budget of 5.4 billion euros.
The purpose of the Program is to restore and improve the quality of environmental components, including air, water and soil, preserve biodiversity and overcome the degradation of natural ecosystems.
Funding directions of the EU LIFE Program:
Ecological:
– nature protection and biodiversity;
– circular economy.
Climatic:
– prevention and adaptation to climate change;
– transition to alternative energy sources.
Projects for competitive selection can be submitted by legal entities of any form of ownership (local self-government bodies, central and territorial OVV, institutions of state, communal or private ownership, profit or non-profit, public organizations), etc. Both a single applicant and a consortium of participants can participate.
