Exactly 107 years ago the blue-yellow flag was flown over the Lviv Town Hall for the first time, symbolizing the emergence of the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic.
This state became the voice of will, dignity, and the resilience of Ukrainians. “It was a signal to the whole world: Ukraine exists. Ukraine is fighting. Ukraine will win. Because we are a people who will never renounce our land and our truth.”
Today we honor the memory of the soldiers of the Ukrainian Galician Army, President Yevhen Petrushevych, and all Ukrainians of all generations who raised the flag of struggle for our state. Free. United. Independent.
