The Boryslav community of the Drohobych district is a unique combination of industrial heritage, natural resources, and cultural landmarks.
The community is known for its history of oil extraction, represented at the Johann Zeh Pharmacy Museum, where operational oil rigs are preserved. The Historical and Local History Museum of Boryslav complements this theme by narrating the development of the oil industry.
Traditional culture is preserved in the ‘Carpathian House’, where elements of Carpathian life are recreated. Gastronomic features include Boryslav-style coffee and the cakes ‘Boryslavskyi’ and ‘Black Gold’.
Mount Bukovytsia is a center for winter recreation with ski complexes, and the sacred heritage is represented by St. Anna’s church and other temples. The private company ‘Borovyk’ offers gastro tours that showcase contemporary agro-tourism.
