Pilgrims Depart Ukraine via Polish Border

After Rosh Hashanah celebrations, pilgrims are orderly leaving Ukraine via the Polish border.

The main exit flow is concentrated in the first days after the end of the celebrations, increasing the passenger traffic at the checkpoints in the Lviv region. Over the past day, about 5,000 pilgrims crossed the border. Most of them travel in organized groups, and all border procedures are carried out in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

To reduce the load on the checkpoints, the number of border patrols has been increased and measures have been implemented for more efficient processing of travelers. All actions are conducted in close cooperation with Polish border guards.

Current load at Lviv checkpoints: Uhryniv – 35 cars, Rava-Ruska – 20 cars, Hrushiv – 20 cars, Krakivets – 20 cars, Shehyni – 35 cars, Smilnytsia – 0 cars, Nyzhankovychi – 5 cars. There is also a pedestrian crossing demand at the Shehyni checkpoint.

The least congestion is observed late at night and early in the morning. If possible, choose alternative checkpoints to avoid long waits. Before traveling, check the current information about the load on the pages of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine-Western Border and the 7th Border Carpathian Detachment.
