The brothers of the Roman Catholic Church of the Order of the Boniface Brothers donated a new fire engine for the needs of the district.
The cost of the specialized car itself is 37,000 euros, and the emergency and rescue equipment and fire-fighting equipment — another 32,000 euros.
“In hryvnia equivalent, this is about 3 million hryvnias. This is the most expensive and equipped car that we had to receive from international partners during almost a year of full-scale invasion,” Stepan Kulinyak, head of the Drogobytsk RVA, noted.
Metropolitan of Lviv, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church Mechyslav Mokshytsky consecrated the fire truck. If necessary, this fire engine will be transferred to one of the territorial communities of the district.
In addition, the Order of the Bonifrat brothers plans to set up a hospice in the Drohobytsky District for the elderly or seriously ill. For its part, the leadership of the Drohobytska RVA guaranteed support in finding the right premises.
In the coming weeks, as representatives of the Roman Catholic Church reported, another fire truck is planned to be delivered to the needs of the Drohobytsky district.
