The Fund for Competent Assistance of the Army “Return Alive” completed the implementation of the “Long Arms of the TrO” project. All 31 brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces received reconnaissance and strike complexes with 120-mm mortars, in particular, the 125th and 103rd separate brigades of TrO.
The total value of the property transferred to the army under the project during April 2023 — February 2024 is UAH 338,064,692.
Each brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces received, in particular:
120-mm mortars — 6 pcs
Pass-through pickups — 3 pcs
Motorola radio stations — 14 pcs
Night vision devices (PNB) — 9 pcs
DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters with additional batteries and remote controls — 3 pcs
Tablets with HRK “Armor” with memory cards and covers – 8 pcs
Uninterruptible power supply — 3 pcs
Generators — 3 pcs
Weather stations — 1 pc
Monoculars with a grid and a compass — 3 pcs
“We aimed to strengthen the fire potential of each of the 31 brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by creating separate mortar batteries with 120 caliber in them. Until now, 60- and 82-mm guns were standardly equipped in TRO. We gave a means that works at more than twice the distance – up to 7 km, and also with 3-4 times more powerful ammunition. It is important that these are new products with sights and everything necessary for long-term work. We not only provided these batteries with weapons and logistics. Another task was to create a reconnaissance-strike circuit around them with a whole ecosystem of reconnaissance, identification, targeting, correction and confirmation of results,” says Taras Chmut, director of “Return Alive”.
Collection of UAH 333 million for the project “LONG HANDS of the TrO” Fund started in December 2022 and ended in March last year. Funds for each region — from UAH 10.8 million to UAH 32.4 million — were accumulated separately, since the Terrodefense Forces are formed according to the territorial principle, and the regions have from one to three brigades.
