French Journalists Explore Tourist Potential of Lviv Region

From July 15 to 19, the Lviv region hosted representatives of French media to promote the region as a tourist destination in France and the Benelux countries.

“Lviv region has significant tourist potential, which we were delighted to present to the French media. We are convinced that such initiatives open new opportunities for collaboration with the French tourist market and promote our region on the international tourist map.” said Roman Khymyak, Director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of Lviv Regional State Administration.

Among the participants of the promotional tour were Pascal Falcone, head of the agency Meta com, and Roseline Charpentier, an expert in sustainable tourism. Olga Sanson, head of the travel company VacantureUkraine, also took part in the event.

“Following our stay in the region, we are preparing a 12-page publication. I want to show that despite the war, the Lviv region is ready to welcome tourists. In the fall, we plan to present your region at a tourism conference in France.” shared Pascal Falcone.

The promotional tour program included a sightseeing tour of Lviv, visits to the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, excursions to the St. George’s Church and the saltworks in Drohobych, as well as a trip to the Carpathians.

The promoter of the tour was the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration. Partners supporting the initiative include Grand Hotel Lviv Casino & SPA, Astoria, Mirotel Resort & Spa, and others.

“There is an opportunity to invite Michelin-starred chefs to the Lviv region who could share their experiences with Ukrainian colleagues.” shared Olga Sanson.
