Cat Becomes a Hero by Saving Family from Fire
The night of May 9 could have been fatal for a family in Khyriv, Sambir district. While everyone in the house was asleep, the roof was already ablaze. However, tragedy was averted thanks to the family cat. Sensing danger, the cat began to meow and run around the room until it woke up the owners. Smelling the acrid smoke, the family immediately ran out of the house and called the firefighters.

Firefighters from the town of Dobromyl and the local fire team from the village of Skelivka arrived at the scene. The roof of the residential building was burning over an area of 70 square meters. By 01:59, the rescuers had extinguished the fire. No one was injured.
This story reminds us once again that true friends are not always human. Our four-legged friends often sense danger before we do and can become true heroes. Thanks to the alertness of the whiskered rescuer, the most valuable thing — human life — was saved.
