In Lviv, the best flowered balconies, which adorn the city, have been selected.
On the most beautiful balconies of the residents of the Lviv community, not only flowers grow, but also exotic plants and spices. Such mini-spaces decorate not only the buildings but also the streets of the city. The winners were awarded recognitions and gifts from sponsors.
The Lviv City Council recognized residents who make the city more beautiful by greening their balconies. “In a difficult time for Ukraine, this is especially valuable and gives strength,” noted the Deputy Mayor for Urban Planning, Lyubomyr Zubach.
The competition had 28 participants, 15 of whom became winners. One of them, Stepan Dubrov, created a special balcony for his 90-year-old mother. Oksana Voznyuk plants vegetables and spices on her balcony, while Iryna Berezovska grows exotic plants.
The audience’s choice prizes went to Halyna Nesterko, whose balcony is made of plastic caps. Lviv residents are becoming increasingly active in greening the city, which is also spreading to other settlements.
