In the Lviv region, four different types of fires were extinguished last day.
During the shift from January 2 to January 3, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in the Lviv region responded to four fire incidents. **Rescuers** once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to fire safety rules. The majority of fires and household accidents occur due to human negligence and disregard for basic safety requirements.
In this regard, the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in the Lviv region calls on citizens to protect their lives and homes. To avoid fires, follow the fire safety rules: *be careful with open flames; do not smoke in bed; monitor the condition and functionality of electrical networks; do not leave televisions, irons, heaters, etc., on when leaving the premises; do not leave children unattended and do not allow them to play with matches, lighters, and other hazardous objects; avoid overloading electrical networks – do not simultaneously switch on high-power electrical appliances; ensure the safe use of stove and gas heating, comply with the installation norms and operation rules; do not dry clothes near heating devices or open flames to avoid ignition; do not use uncertified, homemade, or poor-quality electrical appliances; regularly check the serviceability of household electrical appliances you use.*
