Lviv Utility Services Work Intensively Due to Bad Weather

In Lviv, city utility services are actively working due to the prolonged snowfall. According to weather forecasts, the snow will not cease until morning, so the services have been put on high alert.

“Snow removal equipment is clearing the roads after dark,” — said the First Deputy Mayor Andriy Moskaleko.

At night all utility equipment and personnel are involved: 95 units of equipment and 1,445 workers. Tomorrow, administrative staff will work on the streets. Parking inspectors and controllers will help clear parking zones. Together with the police, work will be organized at challenging intersections.

Businesses are urged to limit the entry of large vehicles into the city. Additionally, equipment from private companies will be used to clean near residential complexes. Coordination is conducted with schools, vocational schools, and universities for the cleaning of the areas around them.

The city authorities appeal to Lviv residents to refrain from unnecessary city trips. If there is a need to travel, they ask not to leave cars in places where they can hinder the work of snow removal equipment.
