Lviv Cultural Institutions Become More Accessible for Everyone

Work is underway to improve the accessibility of cultural institutions in the Lviv region.

Barrier-free solutions are actively being implemented at the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion, the Lviv Palace of Arts, and the Lviv National Philharmonic. At the museum, stairs have been expanded and plans are in place to install a ramp. Director Orest Malets highlights the importance of coordinating decisions with heritage conservationists.

The Lviv Palace of Arts already has an elevator and a lift for people with disabilities. Mykola Nadulychny, head of the public union, notes that some recommendations have already been implemented. He emphasizes the importance of government support to improve accessibility.

The philharmonic will feature an electric lift and a system to enhance sound quality for people with hearing aids. Yuriy Kholod, acting head of the Lviv Regional Council, thanks the teams for their work on barrier-free spaces.
