
New modern medical services have been introduced at Mostyska City Hospital thanks to new equipment.
The Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise ‘Mostyska City Hospital’ MMR has started offering video gastroscopy and video colonoscopy examinations due to participation in the international grant program INTERREG NEXT Poland–Ukraine. The project is being implemented jointly with the WSAiA Hospital in Białystok (Poland). As part of the project, the hospital received equipment worth almost 7 million UAH, of which 10% is the hospital’s own contribution.
The examinations are conducted in Mostyska at 7 B. Khmelnytskoho Street (surgical department) by endoscopist Yuriy Pelensky on Monday and Thursday, as well as at 111 Y. Mudroho Street (polyclinic department) by endoscopist Roman Petlovych. Registration and preparation are required before the examination, details can be obtained from the doctors.
Services are provided free of charge under the Medical Guarantee Program by referral from a family doctor or a narrow specialist. Emergency cases are handled out of turn and free of charge. All other cases and additional services, such as anesthesia, are on a paid basis.
Gastroscopy is indicated for prolonged heartburn, stomach pain, vomiting, bleeding, weight loss, suspicion of ulcer or tumor. Colonoscopy is indicated for blood in the stool, chronic diarrhea/constipation, abdominal pain, positive test for occult blood, suspicion of polyps or colon cancer. It is also recommended for all patients aged 45 and over.
