At the ‘Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne’ checkpoint, customs officers stopped a truck with excise goods.
The truck, driven by a 39-year-old resident of Lviv region, was transporting consolidated cargo. During the vehicle inspection, customs officers, together with border guards, discovered 7,500 units of disposable electronic cigarettes Elf Bar in the cargo compartment of the semi-trailer. Also, 500 bottles of vaping liquids of the same brand were found.
The estimated value of the seized goods exceeds 2.8 million hryvnias. A protocol was drawn up for this incident in accordance with part 1 of article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. A report on this incident, which has signs of a criminal offense under article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, has been sent to the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region.
