A chair lift on Mount Zakhar Berkut was halted while carrying passengers.
On December 26, at 11:50, rescuers received information about a lift stoppage on Mount Zakhar Berkut in the village of Volosyanka, Stryi district. As of 13:04, mountain rescue units have evacuated 42 people from the lift, including 22 children. Efforts to rescue the remaining tourists continue. There are approximately 80 people on the lift. A total of 42 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment are involved in the operation.
