Hydrological Situation in Lviv Region: Rising Water Levels

The hydrological situation in the Lviv region is worsening due to significant rainfall.

According to the hydrometeorological network data, between 3 and 16 mm of precipitation fell in the Lviv region, with up to 38 mm in some places over a day. In the GP area of the Holovchanka River – Tukhlya village, 48 mm of precipitation was recorded within a day. This has caused water levels in the region’s rivers to rise by 1 to 16 cm, in some areas up to 27 cm.

On the Dniester River in Rozdil village, the water level remained unchanged, which is the lowest recorded value over the entire observation period. The water temperature in the region’s rivers ranged from 14.0 to 23.0 degrees. In some areas, there is slight vegetation near the banks at the hydroposts.

Significant rainfall is expected the next day, which may cause further rise in water levels in the region’s rivers. A warning about changes in the hydrological situation is in effect under No. Gk-17 dated 07/08/2025.
