In the Lviv region, the number of police patrols has been increased due to deteriorating weather conditions.
Heavy snowfall has complicated the movement of vehicles on the region’s roads. The weather forecast remains unfavorable, which may lead to further deterioration of the situation. The most challenging conditions are observed in the Carpathian region.
“In conditions where the roadway is sometimes uncleared of snow and slippery, and visibility is limited, the risks of becoming involved in a traffic accident increase for drivers and pedestrians”, the police note.
Drivers are urged to carefully select a safe speed, maneuver carefully, and turn on their headlights. Pedestrians are advised to cross the road only at designated places and ensure safety before stepping onto the roadway.
