
As of July 16, 2025, the hydrological situation in the Lviv region remains dynamic.
According to the data from the hydrometeorological network, 0 to 11 mm of precipitation was recorded over the day. On the rivers of the Dniester basin, a decrease in water levels by 1-6 cm was observed, in some places up to 12 cm. In the San River basin, the water level decreased by 24 cm over the day.
On some rivers of the Western Bug basins, there was a continued gradual rise in water levels by 2-10 cm. At the HP of the Western Bug River – Kamyanka-Buzka, there was a rapid rise in water level up to 40 cm. In the area of the HP of the Western Bug River – Kamyanka-Buzka, and the Poltva River – Busk, the water remained in the floodplain layer by 96 and 57 cm respectively.
Due to the expected significant precipitation, the next day, a gradual rise in water levels is expected on most rivers of the Dniester and Western Bug basins. On some rivers of the Western Bug basin, the area of floodplain inundation will continue to increase. At the HP of the Western Bug River – Kamyanka-Buzka, there is possible partial flooding of agricultural lands in the Lviv region.
