
The hydrological situation in the Lviv region is changing due to precipitation and fluctuations in water levels.
As of 08:00 on July 25, 2025, according to the hydrometeorological network, the Lviv region experienced precipitation ranging from 0.4 to 4 mm in places over the past day. Water levels on the region’s rivers decreased by 1 – 13 cm during the past day. In the area of GP Western Bug River – Kamianka-Buzka, the water remained in the floodplain with a layer of 31 cm. The water temperature in the mountainous tributaries of the Dniester ranged from 14.0 to 18.0°, while in the lowland rivers it ranged from 19.0 to 23.0°.
The consultation on the change of the hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv region indicates that during July 26 – 27, water level fluctuations with a tendency of decrease will be observed on the region’s rivers. In the area of GP Western Bug River – Kamianka-Buzka, the water will remain in the floodplain. During the day of July 28, due to expected precipitation, water levels in the basins of the San and Dniester rivers will predominantly rise, while on the other rivers of the region, fluctuations with a tendency of rise will be observed.
