The police assisted a taxi driver who was stuck in the snow near the village of Sukhovolia.
This morning, police received a call about a taxi driver who got lost and stuck in the snow on a dirt road. “By maintaining continuous phone contact with the driver and listening to sound signals, the police found him”, the press service reports. They attached the minibus with a rope to the service vehicle and pulled it out. The police escorted the driver to the edge of the settlement to ensure he wouldn’t get lost again.
The police urge drivers to adhere to speed limits and maintain a safe distance. Drivers should slow down before pedestrian crossings and wait until the pedestrian has completed their crossing. Pedestrians should ensure it is safe to cross the road. Patrol officers continue to work with road services to address the consequences of the weather conditions.
