Hydrological and Avalanche Situation in Lviv Region

A slight drop in water levels and low avalanche danger is observed in Lviv Region.

As of 08:00 on January 21, 2026, the region’s rivers experienced a slight drop in water levels ranging from 1 to 9 cm. Ice cover persists on most rivers, with some ice phenomena such as ice banks and sludge observed in places. Water levels are expected to fluctuate the following day, with a tendency towards a decline.

Regarding the avalanche situation, on the meteorological sites in the mountains of the Lviv region, the snow cover height at Mt. Turka and Mt. Slavske was 21 – 27 cm. On January 22 – 23, low avalanche danger (level 1) remains in the mountains of Lviv region.
