The IV Warriors’ Cup in athletics among veterans was held in Lviv region
This was announced by the head of the region Maksym Kozytskyi.
The sporting event was held at the training complex of the Lviv University of Physical Culture named after I. Bobersky, which was previously reconstructed by the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
According to Maksym Kozytskyi, the participants were able to join not only the main competitions, but also attend masterclasses in handbike, shot put, rowing and cross-country skiing on specialised training equipment. Professional athletes, including this year’s Paralympic bronze medallist Pavlo Bal and Beijing Paralympic champion Vasyl Kravchuk, conducted such training for veterans. And also one of the world’s most titled veteran para athletes, world championship winner Viktor Legkodukh.
✔️ By the way, the competition was held as part of the League of the Unconquered project of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration. This is one of the areas of the Concept of Support for Defenders of Ukraine developed by the Lviv Regional State Administration.
