Patrol groups in Lviv region actively combat grass arsonists
In Lviv region, special patrol groups work daily to identify offenders-arsonists. Just yesterday, on February 25, 7 grass arsonists were caught red-handed in the Lviv region, against whom administrative protocols were drawn up.
Using drones to detect violators
Drones are used to find violators. It is worth noting that drones are actively used during raids, as they can quickly identify fire sources and grass arsonists.
Awareness work and fines
Additionally, rescuers conduct awareness work with the public. Citizens receive informational leaflets regarding the prohibition of burning dry grass, the dangers posed by such fires, and information about penalties is also communicated.
We once again emphasize that burning dry grass, shrubs, garbage, and other vegetation is FORBIDDEN! Such arson is punishable by law with a fine:
- for citizens from 3,060 to 6,120
- for officials from 15,300 to 21,420
Each grass fire not only destroys hectares of land, resulting in dead animals and polluted air. It’s a real threat to life, your home, and the safety of your loved ones.
