
Throughout the day, rescue teams extinguished four different fires in the Lviv region.
Since the beginning of the year, there have been 5395 fires in the Lviv region, resulting in the deaths of 52 people, including two children. A total of 100 people have been injured, among them eight children. The State Emergency Service units have rescued 219 people, including 14 children.
Most household fires occur due to negligence and breaches of safety rules. The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region urges citizens to protect their lives and property. To avoid fires, adhere to fire safety regulations.
“Do not smoke in bed; monitor the condition of your electrical wiring; do not leave electrical appliances turned on; do not leave children unattended; avoid overloading electrical networks; ensure safe use of heating systems; do not use uncertified electrical appliances; regularly check the functionality of devices”, – state the SES officials.
