During the past day, fire service specialists in the Lviv region managed thirteen large-scale dry vegetation fires, which covered more than one hectare of land, destroying vegetation.
Outbreaks occurred in several districts, including Lviv, Drohobych, Lviv, Sambir, and Stryi. A total of 67 rescuers and 17 units of specialized equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires. Local residents actively participated in the efforts to control the fire, demonstrating a non-indifferent attitude towards the threat of the fire spreading to residential properties.
It is necessary to remember the risks and consequences of dry grass arson, which is considered an intentional violation punishable by law:
- The fine for citizens ranges from 3,060 to 6,120 UAH.
- The fine for officials ranges from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH.
Destroying the environment in such difficult times is a serious crime, therefore public awareness and responsible behavior are crucial.
