Fires in Lviv Region Ecosystems: Threat to the Environment and Fines
Over the past day, 46 fires have been registered in the ecosystems of Lviv region with a total area of more than 5 hectares. Despite numerous warnings, people continue to burn dry grass, posing a threat to the environment, their own lives, and health.
Fines for Setting Dry Grass on Fire
Today’s rainfall will temporarily reduce the risks, but it cannot extinguish irresponsibility. Let us remind you that fines are provided for setting dry grass on fire:
- for citizens – from 3,060 to 6,120 UAH;
- for officials – from 15,300 to 21,420 UAH.
And in the case of large-scale consequences, criminal liability can occur. Do not wait for nature to correct human mistakes.
