Hydrological Situation on Lviv Oblast Rivers: January 2026

Hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv Oblast as of January 31, 2026.

According to the hydrometeorological network data, up to 0.8 mm of precipitation fell in some areas of Lviv Oblast per day. The snow cover height at the meteorological sites of Lviv Oblast meteorological stations is 10 – 19 cm, in Lviv – 21 cm.

In the past day, most rivers in Lviv Oblast experienced a water level drop of 1 – 12 cm, only in certain segments of rivers was a slight increase in water levels noted at 1 – 9 cm. There was a gradual intensification of ice phenomena, with ice cover thickness ranging from 5 – 17 cm in certain river areas.

On the following day, due to a significant decrease in air temperature, slight fluctuations in water levels will be observed in the rivers of the region, primarily showing a decline, and increased ice phenomena will be noted.

As of 08:00 on January 31, the snow cover height in the mountains of Lviv Oblast, at Turka and Slavske, was 6 – 11 cm.
