Overview of the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region as of 08:00 AM on August 5, 2025.
According to the hydrometeorological network data for the territory of Lviv Oblast, 0.4 – 13 mm of precipitation fell in places over the past day. Due to the rainfall, most rivers in the Dniester basin experienced a slight rise in water levels by 1 – 12 cm, with some places up to 20 cm (HP Styr River – V.Synyovydne). On the rest of the rivers in the region, a decline in water levels by 1 – 9 cm was observed.
Water levels in certain segments of the rivers in the Dniester basin continue to approach their long-term minimum values (HP Dniester River – Strilky village, Styr River – Matkiv village). The water temperature in the mountainous tributaries of the Dniester was 10.0 – 16.0°, in the rest of the rivers of the region – 17.0 – 21.0°.
Consultation on the change in the hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv region: On the next day, due to expected precipitation, most rivers in the Dniester basin will experience a rise in water levels; on the rest of the rivers in the region, slight water level fluctuations with a tendency of decline will be observed.
