As of 08:00 on February 15, 2026, the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region remains dynamic.
According to the hydrometeorological network, the Lviv region received between 0 to 5 mm of precipitation within 24 hours. Most rivers in the Dniester basin saw water level drops of 5-22 cm. Only in the lower reaches of the Strvyazh River and in the Dniester, in the section between Rozdil and Zhuravno, were water level rises observed at 30-40 cm. On the plain rivers in the Sian and Western Bug basins, water levels continued to rise by 4-18 cm per day.
Further weakening and destruction of the ice cover were noted on the rivers of Lviv, with some ice drift, particularly on the Dniester River near Zhuravno and on the Rata River near Volytsia.
In the coming day, due to a drop in air temperature, water level declines will be observed on the rivers of the Dniester basin. On the plain rivers of the Sian, Western Bug basins, and the upper reaches of the Styr River, a slight increase in water levels will continue. Gradual intensification of ice phenomena will be marked on the region’s rivers.
As of 08:00 on February 15, in the mountains of Lviv region at the meteorological sites of Turka and Slavsko stations there is no snow cover. Avalanche warning No. G-17 from 13.02.2026 is in effect.
