Hydrological Situation on the Rivers of Lviv Region: Review and Forecasts

As of 08:00 on February 4, 2026, water level fluctuations and ice phenomena are observed on the rivers of the Lviv Region.

In the past day, according to the data from the hydrometeorological network, between 0 to 3 mm of precipitation was recorded in the Lviv Region. Water level fluctuations in the range of 1 – 15 cm, with a predominance of decline, were observed on the region’s rivers. Most rivers retained an ice cover, with some experiencing ice phenomena in the form of shore ice.

In the upcoming day, due to gradual thaw and precipitation, a slight increase in water levels is expected on the mountainous tributaries of the Dniester. Some weakening of ice phenomena is anticipated. On the rest of the region’s rivers, a decrease in water levels will prevail, and ice phenomena will persist.

As of 08:00 on February 4, in the mountains of the Lviv Region, the snow cover height at Mount Turka and Mount Slavsko was 8 – 13 cm. An avalanche warning No. Gl-8 from 02.02.2026 is in effect.
