Hydrological Situation on Rivers of Lviv Region: Thaw and Forecasts

There is a slight rise in water levels on the rivers of the Lviv region due to the thaw.

In the past day, Lviv region received up to 3 mm of precipitation. As a result of the gradual thaw, the rivers of the region experienced a slight rise in water levels by 1 – 14 cm per day. Most rivers remained frozen, but some sections had water on the ice.

The consultation regarding changes in the hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv region reports that for the next two days, due to the thaw, a rise in water levels and weakening of ice phenomena will prevail in the region’s rivers.

As of 08:00 on February 6, in the mountains of Lviv region, the snow cover height on Mount Turka and Mount Slavske was 3 – 10 cm. There is an avalanche warning in effect.
