A Family from Mariupol Opens a Children’s Home in Stryi Region

A family-type children’s home has been opened in the village of Nezhukhiv in the Stryi district for the Kislenko family, who were evacuated from Mariupol.

The house, with an area of 351.3 square meters, was purchased in 2025 with state budget funds (6.12 million UAH) and transferred to municipal ownership for the family’s free use. The house is fully ready for living and is equipped for a large family.

Oleh and Svitlana Kislenko are raising three biological children and eight orphaned children and children deprived of parental care.

The functioning of the family-type children’s home is ensured by the Mariupol City Council’s children’s services, and social support is provided by the Stryi City Center for Social Services.

Currently, there are seven evacuated family-type children’s homes operating in the Lviv region. In 2025 alone, housing was purchased for five such families with over 31.7 million UAH of state subsidies.
