A fire at a timber processing plant has been extinguished in the Yavoriv district.
On August 15 at 8:23 PM, the Rescue Service ‘101’ received a report of a fire in the village of Novyi Yar, Yavoriv district. The fire broke out in a single-story metal building covered with sheet metal on the territory of a timber processing plant. The fire covered an area of 1000 square meters.
Firefighting and rescue units were dispatched to the scene with an increased response number. By 10:39 PM, firefighters had localized the fire, and by 1:27 AM it was extinguished. The firefighting operation involved 50 rescuers and 10 units of special equipment.
The causes and circumstances of the fire are being investigated.
