Employees of the investigative department of the police of Lviv region and the Department of Strategic Investigations in Lviv region received awards for stopping the activities of a criminal group that committed theft of fuel from the main oil pipeline in the territory of Lviv region.
As the law enforcement officers established, a 51-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Sambir district, having previously conspired with an accomplice, illegally crashed into a main oil pipeline passing through a forest near the village and pumped diesel fuel for a total amount of more than 100 thousand hryvnias.
The police officers informed him of the suspicion of committing an offense provided for in Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft committed by a group of persons under a prior conspiracy and under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
Today, September 15, the General Director of JSC “Ukrtransnafta” Volodymyr Tsependa presented certificates for conscientious attitude to official duties and demonstrated high professionalism, initiative and perseverance to the Investigative Department of Investigations of Particularly Serious Crimes of the Lviv Oblast Police to Police Captain Maryanov Rigail, as well as four employees The Department of Strategic Investigations in the Lviv region – to police lieutenant colonel Ihor Fomenko, police captain Dmytro Zaits, senior police lieutenant Roman Maikovych and police lieutenant Oleg Zaits.
