24-year-old Maria Linda from Lviv region felt she was carrying twins even before her first ultrasound.
Maria and her husband were expecting a boy and a girl, a feeling confirmed by the ultrasound. The children were born early – at the 35th week of pregnancy at the St. Anne’s Hospital via Caesarean section. Justynka weighed 1820 g, and Illya – 1860 g.
“These were premature births, but the babies were born in satisfactory condition,” noted doctor Mykhailo Ivasivka. He added that the most important thing now is the healthy growth and weight gain of the children.
“I am immensely grateful to the doctor… I am happy that the babies are breathing independently,” shared the mother.
At home, the newborns are awaited by an older brother who is eagerly looking forward to meeting them and being with their mother.
