In the Lviv region, four cases of fires in ecosystems have been recorded, destroying over 1450 m² of land.
One of the fires, which occurred on July 24 in the village of Cherneve in the Yavoriv district, nearly led to a tragedy. Stubble burned on an area of 1300 m², and rescuers from the city of Mostyska and the volunteer fire brigade of the village of Cherneve were involved in extinguishing the fire. “During the fire, a 22-year-old man almost died from inhaling toxic smoke,” rescuers report. He refused hospitalization after being examined by medics. The fire also destroyed a Volkswagen Passat car.
The fire was localized at 18:55 and extinguished at 19:11. Six rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The causes of the fire are being investigated by law enforcement agencies.
Fires in ecosystems are a real threat that often arises due to human negligence. Setting dry vegetation on fire is not only a violation of the law, but also a danger to life, health, and property. Fire quickly gets out of control, and the consequences can be tragic. Every ignition is a step towards disaster. Do not burn dry grass!
