Police Officers of Belz Community Reported on the Year 2025

On December 12, 2025, at a session of the Belz City Council, community police officers presented a report on their activities.

The territory of the Belz territorial community is served by community police officers from the Sheptytskyi District Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region: Police Captain Borys B. I. and Police Major Petrashkevych P. Y. Based on the results of their service activities in 2025, the key indicators of the work of law enforcement officers, who ensure law and order and public safety in the community on a daily basis, were announced. In particular, during the reporting period, community police officers processed 220 citizen requests submitted by mail, electronic communication means, and the ‘102’ line. The requests concerned issues of domestic offenses, conflict situations, property disputes, as well as measures related to mobilization. Decisions were made on the requests in accordance with the current legislation, and applicants were provided with written responses.

During the report, special attention was paid to preventive work. Throughout 2025, community police officers issued 315 administrative orders and protocols for violations of public order, traffic rules, cases of domestic violence, illegal trade of alcoholic beverages, and other administrative offenses. The majority of administrative materials concerned violations in the field of traffic safety.

Additionally, a number of criminal offenses were solved in the reporting period, including crimes against the life and health of citizens, traffic safety, and property. An important area of activity remains the prevention of domestic violence — individuals who committed such offenses were placed under preventive supervision, and individualized preventive work is conducted with them. Six crimes were solved.

  • Article 125 of the Criminal Code: deliberate infliction of light bodily harm – 2 crimes
  • Article 286 of the Criminal Code: violation of traffic safety rules leading to bodily injuries.
  • Article 185 Part 4 of the Criminal Code: theft of someone else’s property.
  • Article 190 of the Criminal Code: fraud.
  • Article 121 Part 2 of the Criminal Code: infliction of serious bodily harm resulting in death.

The report highlighted the specifics of work in the Belz territorial community due to its border location. Throughout the year, community police officers were involved in checking suspicious persons, serving at checkpoints, and participating in joint activities with other state bodies and institutions. During emergencies (interceptions, alerts, traffic accidents with victims) and various events during weekends and holidays, community police officers are additionally involved to ensure public order and safety.

The Belz City Council continues to cooperate with the National Police of Ukraine to ensure order, safety, and stable functioning of the community.
