Fire in Topilnytsia Village: Four Buildings Saved, Man Injured
On April 7 at 20:25 in the village of Topilnytsia in the Sambir district a fire occurred in a wooden residential house. The fire swiftly engulfed the residence spanning 120 square meters, as well as two adjacent farm buildings – one completely (60 square meters), the other partially (roof covering 20 square meters).
Complicated Situation and Threat of Fire Spread
The situation was complicated by the fact that upon the arrival of the fire-rescue units the residential house and farm buildings were already completely engulfed in flames. The dense construction and wooden structure of the buildings posed a real threat of the fire spreading to nearby properties.
As a result of the fire, a man, who was the owner’s husband, sustained first-degree facial burns. Rescuers saved 4 buildings from being destroyed. The fire was localized at 22:13 and extinguished by 23:46. Ten rescuers and three units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
