A man died in a fire at his home in Yavoriv District.
On November 28 at 4:57 PM, rescuers received a report of a fire in a single-story residential building in the village of Lozyno, Yavoriv District. When the fire and rescue units arrived, no open flames were visible, but the premises were heavily smoke-filled. During the exploration, the firefighters discovered the 73-year-old homeowner with no signs of life.
It was determined that the fire started near the stove, with firewood burning over an area of about 2 square meters. Firefighters localized the fire at 5:25 PM and eliminated it by 5:30 PM. Seven rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved at the scene.
Firefighters once again remind of the importance of following fire safety rules:
do not store firewood and other flammable materials near stoves and fireplaces; do not leave a stove or fireplace unattended; regularly clean heating devices from ash; be attentive and cautious when handling open flames.
Even a minor violation of safety rules can lead to tragedy — take care of yourself and your loved ones.
