This morning, a fire broke out in a poultry house in the Zolochiv district, where over 23,000 chicks were rescued.
At 04:27, rescuers received a report of a fire in the village of Zabolottsi, Zolochiv district. The fire engulfed a brick single-story poultry house building. Fire-rescue units from Lviv region arrived at the scene.
The challenge of extinguishing the fire was due to the heavy smoke in the premises. The litter and equipment were burning, and the fire was spreading rapidly. Working in breathing and vision protection equipment, the rescuers began to extinguish the fire. By 07:04 the fire was localized, and by 07:21 it was extinguished. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the firefighters, 23,500 chicks and the poultry house were saved.
To extinguish the fire, 28 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment were involved. Experts are determining the causes and circumstances of the fire.
