
Fire in Kulykiv: Man Injured, House Destroyed
On March 11 at 22:29, a report was received about a fire in a wooden residential building in the town of Kulykiv, Lviv region.
Details of the Event
Fire departments from Zhovkva and Lviv were dispatched to the scene, as well as firefighters from the local fire brigades of Kulykiv and Zibolki. The fire quickly spread through the wooden structures of the house. Upon the arrival of firefighters, the roof was fully engulfed in flames. There was a threat of the fire spreading to nearby residential homes.
As a result of the fire, a 54-year-old man who lived in the house sustained burns to 25% of his body. The injured man was hospitalized in a medical facility in Lviv.
Fire Suppression
The fire caused heavy smoke, necessitating the use of breathing apparatuses by the rescuers. The fire was localized at 23:21 and extinguished at 23:29. The fire almost completely destroyed the residential building. A total of 13 rescuers and 4 units of specialized equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Experts are determining the cause of the fire outbreak.
