A tragic incident occurred in Lviv district: the homeowner died in a fire.
On August 18 at 03:02, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the village of Hrimne. The fire engulfed a wooden residential house, covered with slate, measuring 5×8 meters. Professional firefighters from the city of Velykyi Liubin and volunteers from the fire brigade of the city of Komarno were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescuers found the house completely engulfed in flames. Neighbors reported that the homeowner might be inside. During the inspection of the fire site, emergency services discovered the deceased homeowner, a man born in 1965.
Firefighters localized the fire at 03:44 and extinguished it at 04:39. The fire was extinguished with the involvement of 4 rescuers and 1 unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service, as well as 3 volunteers and 1 unit of equipment from the volunteer fire brigade. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being investigated.
