In Sambir District, emergency responders together with the local fire brigade extinguished a fire.
On January 7, at 01:59, the Rescue Service received a report of a fire in the village of Velika Sushitsya. The fire broke out in a wooden utility building. The fire covered a structure of about 80 square meters, destroying hay and about 30 cubic meters of wood.
As it was found at the scene, the owners had evacuated their domestic animals from the building before the firefighters arrived and attempted to extinguish the fire themselves, but unsuccessfully. The fire was localized at 03:34 and extinguished by rescuers at 05:53.
Rescuers managed to save a residential building and another utility building located nearby from being destroyed by fire. Rescuers from the state fire-rescue post in Dobromyl and the local fire brigade from the village of Skelyvka were involved in extinguishing the fire.
