
In Drohobych, firefighters successfully extinguished a garage fire, saving a house and a car.
On September 17 at 15:07, a report of a fire on Budivelna Street in Drohobych was received. The fire originated in the garage of a brick two-story residential building. Due to the fire, there was heavy smoke and the garage premises were completely filled with toxic smoke. Inside was a parked car. Rescuers started fighting the fire using breathing apparatus and vision protection.
Thanks to quick actions, the spread of the fire was swiftly stopped. The fire was localized at 15:22 and extinguished by 15:27. The fire destroyed a refrigerator and household items over an area of 15 square meters. Firefighters saved the house and car from destruction. Eight rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Specialists are investigating the cause of the fire.
