The 7th Border Karpaty detachment received a significant reinforcement in the form of 21 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal drones, purchased with funds from the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The total cost of the equipment is almost 5 million hryvnias. The modern drones will enhance the operations of the quick response command ‘Shkval’.
“These drones are critically important for our military due to their capabilities. They provide thermal surveillance, capture the slightest movements over large distances – it’s not just equipment, it’s a tool for survival and effective response. We are sincerely grateful to the Lviv OVA for their support and understanding of the needs of border guards in combat conditions”, emphasized Colonel Oleh Trofymenko.
The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, noted: “This equipment is the eyes of our warriors. Their advantage over the enemy. The chance to see first, to save lives, to accomplish the task and return alive. As part of the ‘Safe Lviv Region’ program, almost 5 million hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget for the purchase of drones. And this became possible thanks to each and everyone who honestly pays taxes in our region. Your responsibility is real power. These drones are proof. I sincerely thank the soldiers of the 7th border detachment for their service.”
