Border guards discovered an attempt to illegally move electronic cigarettes through the Shehyni checkpoint.
During the inspection of an Audi car, border guards from the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment found 436 disposable electronic cigarettes. **The contraband goods** were carefully hidden in the structural cavities of the doors, the rear left wing, and the car’s subwoofer.
According to the 33-year-old driver, a resident of Lviv region, *he received the cigarettes in Poland and planned to send them by mail within Ukraine to the final recipient*.
The undeclared goods, along with the vehicle, have been seized by customs officers. A relevant protocol has been drawn up regarding the offense, and the case materials have been forwarded to the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region for further investigation.
